EXHIBITS & EXPERIENCE

• SOLO EXHIBIT "EVALUATING Q'S," UC SANTA CRUZ -- January 2016
  It featured a recent body of work in sculpture and architectural design, nine pieces in total (sculptural and architectural). Exhibited at the Eduardo Carrillo Senior Gallery, UCSC.
• AWARDED SPRING 2015 IRWIN PROJECT GRANT AT UC SANTA CRUZ

          Grant is awarded based on outstanding work and promise in visual arts. Awarded $680 for a series of sculptures in metal.
          Pieces included "Marriage Equality: History Made" and "Internal and Internalized Identities" 

• LOGO CONTEST WINNER FOR PAJARO VALLEY LOAVES & FISHES—MARCH 2015
  Santa Cruz County wide contest for local nonprofit organization. Digital painting and editing collaboration with Pajaro Valley Loaves & Fishes staff.
• MONITOR FOR STUDIOS IN METAL FABRICATION & FOUNDRY AT UC SANTA CRUZ—FALL ’14, SPRING & FALL ‘15
   Volunteer monitor; consisted in keeping the studio open for other students, watching for safety and cleanliness of tools and studio. Three quarters, over 20 additional studio hours each quarter. 
• ARTWORK IN GALA CENTER PRIDE SHOW, SAN LUIS OBISPO, CA — MAY-JUNE 2011 & 2014
  ​ An annual collaborative show for LGBT artists in San Luis Obispo, CA. Two acrylic paintings were showed in 2011. Two graphite drawings were showed in 2014. 

• ARTWORK IN CUESTA STUDENT SHOW, SAN LUIS OBISPO, CA — APRIL 2011 & 2014 

           An annual juried exhibit of Cuesta College students showing recent work.  2011, a mixed media piece was
           featured, “Attitude.” In 2014, a painted wood sculpture was featured, “J.”

• SOLO ART EXHIBIT, NIKLANA’S CAFE, HANFORD, CA — MARCH 2012
  The entire cafe walls were dedicated to my paintings, drawings and other media artwork for the month of March. Nearly a dozen pieces were in the exhibit, including the series Lifestyle. 
• INTERNSHIP IN PROFESSIONAL RECORDING STUDIO, BLUE UNIVERSE, SAN LUIS OBISPO -- MAY-JULY 2011

          Part time internship over the summer.  Assisted in studio cleaning, maintenance and recording.
